Greece Continues Its Harsh Treatment Of Irregular Migrants

09.03.2021

Greece continues its harsh attitude towards irregular migrants.

While Greece attempts to sink migrant boats at sea and subsequently leaving them to die, it also tries to illegally deport them to Turkey by confiscating their money, phones and even their shoes at the border with Edirne.

In the most recent event, 29 irregular migrants were brutally beaten by Greek soldiers. Their money, phones and even their shoes were confiscated.

The migrants who were beaten with wooden sticks were trapped on a small islet near the banks of the Meriç (Maritsa) River.

The Mehmetcik once again came to the rescue, saving the migrants who were left to their own fate on the tiny island by the Greek authorities who did not distinguish between the woman and children of the group.

In their testimonial, the migrants reported that they were beaten and all their belongings were taken by force by the Greek authorities who then tried to forcibly send them to Turkey.
