Yaşar GÜLER was born in Ardahan in 1954. He graduated from Army Academy with the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1974 and from Signal Corps School in 1975.

Having served as Signal Platoon and Company Commander at various units between the years of 1975 and 1984, Yaşar GÜLER graduated from Army War College in 1986 and from Armed Forces College in 1988.

As a staff officer, he served as Chief of Operations at Internal Regional Command between 1986 and 1988, as Planning Officer at Evaluation and Inspection Division of the Army between 1988 and 1991, as Chief of Operations and Training Branch at the 12th Infantry Division between 1991 and 1992, as Internal Security Battalion Commander between 1992 and 1994 in Silopi, as Turkish Deputy Brigade Commander in Bosnia-Herzegovina between 1994 and 1995, as Project Officer at the Office of Military Senior Counsellor of the Presidency between 1995 and 1997...

Press Release on Exercise International Anatolian Phoenix 2025

1.The International Anatolian Phoenix-2025 Exercise will be conducted at the 3rd Main Jet Base Command/Konya between 12-23 May, 2025, hosted by Türkiye, with the participation of the USA, Germany, Azerbaijan, Italy, Qatar, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Saudi Arabia, as well as the Turkish Land, Naval and Air Forces, Special Forces, Gendarmerie General Command and Coast Guard Command Elements.

2.Purpose of the Exercise:

a.To test and develop the command and control process within the scope of the Personnel Rescue (PR) Operation, to test the interoperability between the PR Task Force elements (helicopter, jet and command and control aircraft, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) in the combat environment,

b.To develop “Survival and Escape” procedures and increase the training levels of the aviators,

c.To plan and execute tasks such as Personnel Rescue (PR), Close Air Support (CAS), Dynamic Targeting (DT), Time Sensitive Targeting (TST) within the scope of joint and/or combined operations by including them in the exercise scenarios,

d.To develop the level of interoperability with other countries and to determine ares of cooperation.
