Yaşar GÜLER was born in Ardahan in 1954. He graduated from Army Academy with the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1974 and from Signal Corps School in 1975.

Having served as Signal Platoon and Company Commander at various units between the years of 1975 and 1984, Yaşar GÜLER graduated from Army War College in 1986 and from Armed Forces College in 1988.

As a staff officer, he served as Chief of Operations at Internal Regional Command between 1986 and 1988, as Planning Officer at Evaluation and Inspection Division of the Army between 1988 and 1991, as Chief of Operations and Training Branch at the 12th Infantry Division between 1991 and 1992, as Internal Security Battalion Commander between 1992 and 1994 in Silopi, as Turkish Deputy Brigade Commander in Bosnia-Herzegovina between 1994 and 1995, as Project Officer at the Office of Military Senior Counsellor of the Presidency between 1995 and 1997...

1875-1948

Korgeneral ABDULLATİF NACİ ELDENİZ 1875 yılında Manastır’da doğdu. Harp Okulundan 1893 yılında teğmen rütbesiyle mezun oldu. 28 Temmuz 1893-Ekim 1895 tarihleri arasında Alman Harp Akademisinde öğrenim gördü.
7 Ağustos 1895’te üsteğmenliğe, 9 Aralık 1897’de yüzbaşılığa, 4 Kasım 1904’te kıdemli yüzbaşılığa terfi etti. 1912 yılına kadar ordunun çeşitli kademelerinde görev aldı. Balkan Savaşı sırasında Harp Okulu alay komutanı olarak hizmet etti.
29 Kasım 1914’te yarbaylığa terfi eden ELDENİZ, Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda 15 Şubat 1915’te tümen komutanı yetkisiyle 3’üncü Ordu Öğretim Kurulu başkanlığı yaptı.
13 Ocak 1917’de albaylığa yükseldi. 16 Mart 1917’de 3’üncü Ordu Depo Kıtaları müfettişliği, 5 Mart 1918’de şehzadelerin askerlik öğretmenliği ve aynı zamanda padişah başyaverliği, 15 Eylül 1920’de Konaklar genel müfettişliği, 17 Aralık 1920’de İstanbul Askerî Okullar müfettişliği görevlerinde bulundu. 25 Ağustos 1921’de, Millî Mücadele’ye katılmak üzere Anadolu’ya geçti ve Askerî Okullar müfettişliği görevine burada devam etti. 9 Mayıs 1922’de 7’nci Tümen Komutanlığına atanan ELDENİZ 31 Ağustos 1922’de tümgeneralliğe yükseldi. Büyük Zafer sonrası 13 Aralık 1922’de tekrar Askerî Okullar müfettişliği, 3 Nisan 1924’te Piyade Makineli Tüfek müfettişliği, 31 Ekim 1924’te 5’inci Kolordu komutanlığı yaptı. 30 Ağustos 1927’de korgeneral olan ELDENİZ, 26 Aralık 1927’de Generaller Askerî Mahkemesi üyeliğine getirildi. 24 Eylül 1928’de kendi isteği ile emekliye ayrıldı. Sivil yaşamında 1928-1931 yılları arasında Cebelibereket milletvekili, 1935-1943 yılları arasında Seyhan milletvekili olarak hizmet etti. Osmanlı Devleti, Alman ve Avusturya-Macaristan İmparatorlukları tarafından verilen çeşitli nişan ve madalyalar ile TBMM tarafından verilen İstiklal Madalyası ve takdirname sahibi olan Korgeneral Abdullatif Naci ELDENİZ, 1948 yılında vefat etmiştir.

Lieutenant General Abdullatif Naci ELDENIZ was born in Monastir in 1875. He graduated from Military Academy as a lieutenant in 1893. He received education in German War College between the dates of 28 July 1893 and October 1895.

He was promoted to the rank of first lieutenant on August 7, 1895; captain on December 9, 1897; lieutenant commander on November 4, 1904. He served in varied positions in the army until 1912. He served as the regiment commander of Military Academy during Balkan War. Promoted to lieutenant colonel on November 29, 1914 ELDENIZ served as the head of the 3rd Army Instruction Board with the capacity of the division commander on February 15, 1915 during the First World War.

He was promoted to the rank of colonel on January 13, 1917. He acted as the inspector of the 3rd Army Depot Troops on March 16, 1917; as military service instructor of the princes and also chief aide-de-camp to the sultan on March 5, 1918; as general inspector of Mansions on September 15, 1920; as the inspector of Istanbul Military Schools on December 17, 1920. He passed to Anatolia to participate in the War of Independence on August 25, 1921 and proceed his duty as Military Schools Inspector there. ELDENIZ appointed to the 7th Division Command on May 9, 1922 was promoted to the rank of major general on August 31, 1922. After the Great Victory, he served as the inspector of Military Schools on December 13, 1922; as the inspector of Infantry Machine Gun on April 3, 1924; as the commander of the 5th Corps on October 31, 1924. ELDENIZ who became lieutenant general on August 30, 1927, was assigned as a member of Martial Court of Generals on December 26, 1927. At his own request, he retired on September 24, 1928. In his civilian life, he served as a deputy for Cebel-i Bereket region between the years of 1928 and 1931, for Seyhan region between the years of 1935 and 1943. Lieutenant General Abdullatif Naci ELDENIZ who had various decorations and medals decorated by the Ottoman Empire, German Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire as well as the Independence Medal and the letter of appreciation (takdirname) decorated by Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA), passed away in 1948.
