Yaşar GÜLER was born in Ardahan in 1954. He graduated from Army Academy with the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1974 and from Signal Corps School in 1975.

Having served as Signal Platoon and Company Commander at various units between the years of 1975 and 1984, Yaşar GÜLER graduated from Army War College in 1986 and from Armed Forces College in 1988.

As a staff officer, he served as Chief of Operations at Internal Regional Command between 1986 and 1988, as Planning Officer at Evaluation and Inspection Division of the Army between 1988 and 1991, as Chief of Operations and Training Branch at the 12th Infantry Division between 1991 and 1992, as Internal Security Battalion Commander between 1992 and 1994 in Silopi, as Turkish Deputy Brigade Commander in Bosnia-Herzegovina between 1994 and 1995, as Project Officer at the Office of Military Senior Counsellor of the Presidency between 1995 and 1997...

HACI ARİF ÖRGÜÇ

Albay Hacı Mehmet Arif ÖRGÜÇ 1876 yılında İstanbul’da doğdu. Harp Okulundan 1896 yılında teğmen rütbesiyle mezun oldu. 1 Haziran 1900’de üsteğmenliğe, 1 Kasım 1901’de yüzbaşılığa, 31 Ağustos 1910’da binbaşılığa terfi etti. 1910 yılına kadar ordunun çeşitli kademelerinde görev aldı. 31 Ağustos 1910’da 1’inci Hafif Süvari Alay Komutanlığına atandı. Bu göreviyle Trablusgarp ve Balkan Savaşı’na katıldı. 23 Eylül 1914’te 14’üncü Süvari Alay Komutanlığına atandı ve bu görevinde iken Birinci Dünya Savaşı’na girildi. 20 Kasım 1914’te yarbaylığa terfi etti. 15 Şubat 1915’te Mürettep 13’üncü Süvari Alay Komutanlığına, daha sonra tekrar 14’üncü Süvari Alay Komutanlığına, 23 Haziran 1916’da İran Umum Aşiret Komutanlığına, 18 Mayıs 1917’de 13’üncü Süvari Alay Komutanlığına atandı. 16 Ocak 1921’de İnebolu yoluyla Anadolu’ya geçti ve Millî Mücadele’ye katıldı. Batı Cephesi Komutanlığı emrine verilerek Süvari Depo Alay komutanı oldu. 1 Mart 1921’de albaylığa terfi etti ve aynı tarihte 5’inci Süvari Tugay Komutanlığına tayin edildi. Daha sonra 27 Nisan 1921’de Yenişehir Bölge komutanı, 2 Eylül 1921’de 1’inci Süvari Tümeni komutanı, 28 Aralık 1921’de Mürettep Süvari Tümeni komutanı,28 Kasım 1923’te 7’nci Aşiret Süvari Tümeni komutanı olarak görev yaptı. 9 Şubat 1926’da emekli edildi. Osmanlı Devleti tarafından verilen çeşitli nişan ve madalyalar ile TBMM tarafından verilen İstiklal Madalyası sahibi olan Albay Hacı Mehmet Arif ÖRGÜÇ, 24 Nisan 1940’ta vefat etmiştir.

Colonel Hacı Mehmet Arif ÖRGÜÇ was born in İstanbul in 1876. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1896 with the rank of lieutenant. He was promoted to first lieutenant on June 1, 1900, to captain on November 1, 1901, and to major on August 31, 1910. He served in various echelons in the army until 1910. He was appointed as the Commander of the 1st Light Cavalry Regiment on August 31, 1910. While he was on this duty, he participated in the Turco Italian and Balkan Wars. He was appointed as the Commander of the 14th Cavalry Regiment on September 23, 1914, and while he was on this duty, the First World War was entered. He was promoted to lieutenant colonel on November 20, 1914. He was appointed as the Commander of the Dispositional 13th Cavalry Regiment on February 15, 1915, then again as the Commander of the 14th Cavalry Regiment, as the General Tribal Commander of Iran on June 23, 1916, and as the Commander of the 13th Cavalry Regiment on May 18, 1917. He went to Anatolia via İnebolu on January 16, 1921 and participated in the War of Independence. He was assigned to the Western Front Command and became the commander of the Cavalry Depot Regiment. He was promoted to colonel on March 1, 1921 and was appointed to the 5th Cavalry Brigade Command on the same date. Later, he served as the commander of the Yenişehir Region on April 27, 1921, the commander of the 1st Cavalry Division on September 2, 1921, the commander of the Dispositional Cavalry Division on December 28, 1921, and the commander of the 7th Tribal Cavalry Division on November 28, 1923. He was retired on February 9, 1926. Colonel Hacı Mehmet Arif ÖRGÜÇ, who was the owner of various decorations and medals given by the Ottoman Empire and the Medal of Independence given by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA), passed away on April 24, 1940.
