Yaşar GÜLER was born in Ardahan in 1954. He graduated from Army Academy with the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1974 and from Signal Corps School in 1975.

Having served as Signal Platoon and Company Commander at various units between the years of 1975 and 1984, Yaşar GÜLER graduated from Army War College in 1986 and from Armed Forces College in 1988.

As a staff officer, he served as Chief of Operations at Internal Regional Command between 1986 and 1988, as Planning Officer at Evaluation and Inspection Division of the Army between 1988 and 1991, as Chief of Operations and Training Branch at the 12th Infantry Division between 1991 and 1992, as Internal Security Battalion Commander between 1992 and 1994 in Silopi, as Turkish Deputy Brigade Commander in Bosnia-Herzegovina between 1994 and 1995, as Project Officer at the Office of Military Senior Counsellor of the Presidency between 1995 and 1997...

Albay Halil İbrahim ÇOLAK 1881 yılında Bursa’da doğdu. Harp Okulundan 1901 yılında teğmen rütbesiyle mezun oldu. 25 Nisan 1904’te üsteğmenliğe, 24 Nisan 1907’de yüzbaşılığa terfi etti. 1914 yılına kadar ordunun çeşitli kademelerinde görev aldı. 12 Şubat 1914’te Beylerbeyi Sarayı Muhafızlığına atandı. 14 Mart 1914’te bu Muhafızlığın Jandarmaya dâhil edilmesiyle Jandarmaya nakledildi. Daha sonra yaptığı müracaat üzerine asıl sınıfına iade edilerek 10 Ekim 1914’te 1’inci Ordu emrine alındı. Bir süre Teşkilat-ı Mahsusada çalıştı. 2 Kasım 1916’da 177’nci Alay ve Mürettep Köprülü Müfrezesi komutanı olarak atandı. 3 Aralık 1916’da binbaşılığa terfi eden ÇOLAK 1917 yılında kendi isteğiyle emekli oldu. 1920 yılında Millî Mücadele’ye katıldı. 2’nci Kuvveyi Seyyare adı verilen süvari müfrezesini kurdu. Bu Müfreze ile Bolu, Düzce ve Yozgat Ayaklanmalarının bastırılmasında önemli başarılar kazandı. 1921 yılı başında emrindeki Müfreze, 3’üncü Süvari Tümeni adını alarak Batı Cephesi Komutanlığı emrine verildi ve kendisi de bu Tümenin komutanlığına atandı. Bu görevle Birinci, İkinci İnönü Muharebeleri ile Sakarya Meydan Muharebesi ve Büyük Taarruz’a katıldı. 13 Eylül 1921’de yarbaylığa, 12 Eylül 1922’de albaylığa yükseldi. 14 Aralık 1923’te emekli oldu. Emekli olduktan sonra bir süre ticaretle uğraşarak Bozüyük Kereste Fabrikasını kurdu. II, III, IV, V. dönemlerde Bilecik milletvekilliği yaptı. Osmanlı Devleti tarafından verilen Harp Madalyası ve İstiklal Madalyası sahibi olan Halil İbrahim ÇOLAK, 24 Şubat 1944’te vefat etmiştir.

Colonel Halil İbrahim ÇOLAK was born in Bursa in 1881. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1901 with the rank of lieutenant. He was promoted to first lieutenant on April 25, 1904, and to captain on April 24, 1907. He served in various echelons in the army until 1914. He was appointed as the Guard of Beylerbeyi Palace on February 12, 1914. He was transferred to the Gendarmerie on March 14, 1914, when this Guardianship was incorporated into the Gendarmerie. Upon his later application, he was returned to his original corps and placed under the command of the 1st Army on October 10, 1914. He worked at Ottoman Special Organization (Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa) for a while. On November 2, 1916, he was appointed as the commander of the 177th Regiment and Dispositional Köprülü Detachment. ÇOLAK, who was promoted to major on December 3, 1916, retired voluntarily in 1917. He participated in the War of Independence in 1920. He established the cavalry detachment called 2nd Kuvveyi Seyyare (The Travelling Forces). With this Detachment, he achieved significant success in suppressing the Bolu, Düzce and Yozgat Uprisings. At the beginning of 1921, the Detachment under his command was named the 3rd Cavalry Division and was placed under the command of the Western Front Command, and he was appointed as the commander of this Division. With this duty, he participated in the First and Second Battles of İnönü, the Battle of Sakarya and the Great Offensive. He was promoted to lieutenant colonel on September 13, 1921, and to colonel on September 12, 1922. He retired on December 14, 1923. After his retirement, he engaged in trade for a while and founded the Bozüyük Lumber Mill. He served as a deputy for Bilecik in the II, III, IV and V. terms. Halil İbrahim ÇOLAK, who was the owner of the War Medal and the Medal of Independence given by the Ottoman Empire, passed away on February 24, 1944.
