Yaşar GÜLER was born in Ardahan in 1954. He graduated from Army Academy with the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1974 and from Signal Corps School in 1975.

Having served as Signal Platoon and Company Commander at various units between the years of 1975 and 1984, Yaşar GÜLER graduated from Army War College in 1986 and from Armed Forces College in 1988.

As a staff officer, he served as Chief of Operations at Internal Regional Command between 1986 and 1988, as Planning Officer at Evaluation and Inspection Division of the Army between 1988 and 1991, as Chief of Operations and Training Branch at the 12th Infantry Division between 1991 and 1992, as Internal Security Battalion Commander between 1992 and 1994 in Silopi, as Turkish Deputy Brigade Commander in Bosnia-Herzegovina between 1994 and 1995, as Project Officer at the Office of Military Senior Counsellor of the Presidency between 1995 and 1997...

Kurmay Albay Mehmet Nuri CONKER 1882 yılında Selânik’te doğdu. Harp Okulundan 1902 yılında teğmen, devam ettiği Harp Akademisinden 1905 yılında mümtaz yüzbaşı olarak mezun oldu. 6 Aralık 1903’te üsteğmenliğe, 5 Kasım 1905’te yüzbaşılığa (28 Mart 1911’de kurmaylığı onaylandı.), 5 Kasım 1911’de kurmay kıdemli yüzbaşılığa, 5 Haziran 1912’de kurmay binbaşılığa terfi etti. 1912 yılına kadar ordunun çeşitli kademelerinde görev aldı. Balkan Savaşı’na katıldı ve 8 Şubat 1913’te Bolayır Muharebesi’nde yaralandı. 27 Nisan 1913’te tedavi için Almanya’ya gönderildi. 15 Aralık 1913’te Genelkurmay 2’nci Şubeye, 8 Ocak 1914’te 1’inci Tümen Kurmay Başkanlığına atandı. 13 Temmuz 1914’te 3’üncü Kolordu 24’üncü Alay Komutanlığına getirildi. Bu görevde iken Birinci Dünya Savaşı’na girildi. 5 Eylül 1915’te kurmay yarbaylığa terfi etti ve aynı tarihte 8’inci Tümen Komutanlığına getirildi. 23 Nisan 1917’de Lahey askerî ataşesi olarak atandı. 13 Haziran 1920’de Millî Mücadele’ye katılmak üzere Ankara’ya geldi. TBMM tarafından Basın ve İstihbarat Genel Müdürlüğüne atandı. 11 Eylül 1920’de Ankara Komutanlığı görevine getirildi. 16 Eylül 1920’de 41’inci Tümen komutanı, 11 Şubat 1921’den itibaren aynı zamanda Adana valisi oldu. 27 Şubat 1921’de özel görevli olarak Almanya’ya gönderildi. Daha sonra Almanya’dan satın alma ve eşya sevki işleriyle görevlendirildi. 1 Eylül 1923’te kurmay albaylığa yükseldi. 1925-1927 yılları arasında Kütahya milletvekilliği yaptı. 4 Temmuz 1927’de kendi isteğiyle emekli oldu. Sivil yaşamında IV ve V. dönemlerde Gaziantep milletvekili ve aynı zamanda TBMM başkan vekili olarak görev yaptı. Osmanlı Devleti, Alman İmparatorluğu ve Avusturya-Macaristan İmparatorluğu tarafından verilen çeşitli nişan ve madalyalar ile TBMM tarafından verilen İstiklal Madalyası sahibi olan Kurmay Albay Mehmet Nuri CONKER, 3 Mart 1937’de vefat etmiştir.

Staff Colonel Mehmet Nuri CONKER was born in Thessaloniki in 1882. He graduated from the Military Academy as a lieutenant in 1902, and from the War College, where he attended, as a distinguished captain in 1905. He was promoted to first lieutenant on December 6, 1903, to captain on November 5, 1905 (his staff position was approved on March 28, 1911), to staff lieutenant commander on November 5, 1911, and to staff major on June 5, 1912. He served in various echelons in the army until 1912. He participated in the Balkan War and was wounded in the Battle of Bolayır on February 8, 1913. He was sent to Germany for treatment on April 27, 1913. He was appointed to the 2nd Branch of the General Staff on December 15, 1913, and to the 1st Division Chief of Staff on January 8, 1914. On July 13, 1914, he was appointed as the Commander of the 24th Regiment of the 3rd Corps. While he was on this duty, the First World War was entered. He was promoted to staff lieutenant colonel on September 5, 1915, and was appointed as the Commander of the 8th Division on the same date. He was appointed as the military attache to The Hague on April 23, 1917. He came to Ankara on June 13, 1920 to participate in the War of Independence. He was appointed as the General Directorate of Press and Intelligence by the Turkish Grand National Assembly. He was appointed as the Ankara Commander on September 11, 1920. He became the commander of the 41st Division on September 16, 1920, and also the governor of Adana as of February 11, 1921. He was sent to Germany as a special officer on February 27, 1921. Later, he was assigned to purchasing and shipping goods from Germany. He was promoted to staff colonel on September 1, 1923. He served as a deputy for Kütahya between 1925 and 1927. He retired voluntarily on July 4, 1927. In his civilian life, he served as a deputy for Gaziantep and also the deputy speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) in the IV. and V. periods. Staff Colonel Mehmet Nuri CONKER, who was the owner of various decorations and medals given by the Ottoman Empire, the German Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the Medal of Independence given by the TGNA, passed away on March 3, 1937.
