Yaşar GÜLER was born in Ardahan in 1954. He graduated from Army Academy with the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1974 and from Signal Corps School in 1975.

Having served as Signal Platoon and Company Commander at various units between the years of 1975 and 1984, Yaşar GÜLER graduated from Army War College in 1986 and from Armed Forces College in 1988.

As a staff officer, he served as Chief of Operations at Internal Regional Command between 1986 and 1988, as Planning Officer at Evaluation and Inspection Division of the Army between 1988 and 1991, as Chief of Operations and Training Branch at the 12th Infantry Division between 1991 and 1992, as Internal Security Battalion Commander between 1992 and 1994 in Silopi, as Turkish Deputy Brigade Commander in Bosnia-Herzegovina between 1994 and 1995, as Project Officer at the Office of Military Senior Counsellor of the Presidency between 1995 and 1997...

Korgeneral Mehmet Nihat ANILMIŞ 1876 yılında Filibe’de doğdu.Harp Okulundan 1896 yılında teğmen, devam ettiği Harp Akademisinden 1900 yılında kurmay yüzbaşı olarak mezun oldu. 23 Şubat 1901’de kıdemli kurmay yüzbaşılığa, 6 Haziran 1907’de kurmay binbaşılığa, 26 Nisan 1912’de kurmay yarbaylığa terfi etti. 1912 yılına kadar ordunun çeşitli kademelerinde görev aldı. 1 Kasım 1913’te Pınarhisar Muharebelerinde Bulgarlara esir düştü. 7 Ocak 1914’te esaretten dönerek İstanbul’a geldi. İstanbul muhafız komutan yardımcısı, daha sonra Harbiye Nezareti Personel Şube müdürü oldu. 3 Ağustos 1914’te Başkomutanlık Karargâhı Menzil Genel Müfettişliğine atandı. Birinci Dünya Savaşı’na bu görevle başladı. 29 Kasım 1914’te kurmay albay olan ANILMIŞ,21 Mart 1915’te 2’nci Ordu Kurmay Başkanlığına, 3 Ekim 1915’te Çanakkale Boğazı Müstahkem Mevki Komutanlığına atandı. Bu görevinde iken 14 Aralık 1915’te tümgeneral oldu. 1917’de Gelibolu Güney Grubu Komutanlığına, daha sonra 2’nci Ordu komutan vekilliğine, 8 Kasım 1917’de 7’nci Ordu komutan vekilliğine, 6 Aralık 1917’de 2’nci Ordu Komutanlığına atandı. Aynı zamanda Adana valisi ve bölge komutanı oldu. Millî Mücadele Dönemi’nde 26 Haziran 1920’de Elcezire Cephesi komutanı olarak Revandiz Harekâtı’nda görevlendirildi. 7 Eylül 1922’de Askerî Yargıtay başkanı olarak atandı. 30 Ağustos 1928’de korgeneral olan ANILMIŞ, 16 Mayıs 1942’de emekli oldu. Sivil yaşamında, 1942-1943 yılları arasında VI ve VII. Dönem’de Ankara milletvekilliği görevinde bulundu. Osmanlı Devleti ve Alman İmparatorluğu tarafından verilen çeşitli nişan ve madalyalar ile TBMM tarafından verilen İstiklal Madalyası ve takdirname sahibi olan Korgeneral Mehmet Nihat ANILMIŞ,

31 Mayıs 1954’te vefat etmiştir.

Lieutenant General Mehmet Nihat ANILMIS was born in Filibe (Plovdiv) in 1876. He graduated from the Military Academy as a lieutenant in 1896, and from the War College as a staff captain in 1900. He was promoted to the rank of staff lieutenant commander on February 23, 1901; the rank of staff major on June 6, 1907; the rank of staff lieutenant colonel on April 26, 1912. He served in varied positions in the army until 1912. During Balkan War, he was captured by the Bulgarians in the Battle of Lule Burgas (Pınarhisar) on November 1, 1913. On January 7, 1914 he was free from captivity and came to Istanbul. He became the deputy guard commander of Istanbul, and later the director of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of War. He was appointed to General Range Inspectorate of the Commander-in-Chief Headquarters on August 3, 1914. He entered First World War with this duty. ANILMIS who became staff colonel on November 29, 1914 was appointed as Chief of Staff of the 2nd Army on March 21, 1915; as the Commander of the Çanakkale Strait Fortress on October 3, 1915. While on this duty, he became major general on December 14, 1915. He was appointed as the Commander of Gallipoli Southern Group in 1917; later as the deputy commander of the 2nd Army; as the deputy commander of the 7th Army on November 8, 1917; as the Commander of the 2nd Army on December 6, 1917. He also served as governor and regional commander of Adana. During the Period of War of Independence, he was appointed to Revandiz Operation as the Commader of Elcezire Front. He was appointed as the president of Military Court of Appeals on September 7, 1922. ANILMIS becoming lieutenant general on August 30, 1928 retired on May 16, 1942. In his civilian life, he served as deputy for Ankara for 6th and 7th terms between 1942 and 1943. Lieutenant General Mehmet Nihat ANILMIS, who had various decorations and medals decorated by the Ottoman Empire and German Empire as well as the Independence Medal and the letter of appreciation (takdirname) decorated by Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA), passed away on May 31, 1954.
