Yaşar GÜLER was born in Ardahan in 1954. He graduated from Army Academy with the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1974 and from Signal Corps School in 1975.

Having served as Signal Platoon and Company Commander at various units between the years of 1975 and 1984, Yaşar GÜLER graduated from Army War College in 1986 and from Armed Forces College in 1988.

As a staff officer, he served as Chief of Operations at Internal Regional Command between 1986 and 1988, as Planning Officer at Evaluation and Inspection Division of the Army between 1988 and 1991, as Chief of Operations and Training Branch at the 12th Infantry Division between 1991 and 1992, as Internal Security Battalion Commander between 1992 and 1994 in Silopi, as Turkish Deputy Brigade Commander in Bosnia-Herzegovina between 1994 and 1995, as Project Officer at the Office of Military Senior Counsellor of the Presidency between 1995 and 1997...

Albay Veysel ÖZGÜR 1877 yılında Trabzon’da doğdu.
Harp Okulundan 1895 yılında teğmen rütbesiyle mezun oldu. 26 Eylül 1899’da üsteğmenliğe, 4 Mart 1905’te yüzbaşılığa, 14 Mart 1911’de kıdemli yüzbaşılığa, 26 Nisan 1912’de binbaşılığa terfi etti. 1912 yılına kadar ordunun çeşitli kademelerinde görev aldı. 26 Nisan 1912 itibarıyla çeşitli redif birliklerinde tabur komutanlıklarında görevlendirildi. Balkan Savaşı’na bu göreviyle katıldı. 1 Aralık 1913’te 2’nci Kolordu 15’inci Alay 2’nci Tabur komutanı oldu. Bu görevde iken Birinci Dünya Savaşı’na girildi. 5 Haziran 1915’te 15’inci Alay Komutanlığına getirildi. 14 Eylül 1916’da yarbaylığa yükseldi. 24 Mayıs 1917’de 161’inci Alay komutanı, 5 Eylül 1917’de 134’üncü Alay komutanı, 17 Haziran 1918’de 48’inci Tümen ve Humus Mevki komutanı, 29 Temmuz 1918’de 20’nci Tümen komutan vekili, 23 Ekim 1919’da İstanbul’da 3’üncü Askerî Mahkeme üyesi, daha sonra Tetkik ve Tasnif Komisyonu üyesi olarak atandı. 28 Ekim 1920’de Anadolu’ya geçerek Millî Mücadele’ye katıldı. Millî Mücadele’de 1 Şubat 1921’de 15’inci Tümen Komutanlığına getirildi. 1 Mart 1921’de albaylığa terfi etti ve 6 Nisan 1921’de Kocaeli Grubu emrinde Piyade Tümen komutanı, 30 Nisan 1921’de 7’nci Tümen komutanı, 17 Eylül 1921’de 7’nci Çorum Askerlik Kalemi başkanı, 30 Ağustos 1922’de Erzincan Askerlik Dairesi başkanı oldu. 23 Mart 1924’te 7’nci Kolordu Üstsubay Askerî Mahkemesi başkanı olarak atandı. 26 Mart 1924’te kendi isteği ile emekli oldu. Osmanlı Devleti ile Alman İmparatorluğu tarafından verilen çeşitli nişan ve madalyalar ile TBMM tarafından verilen İstiklal Madalyası sahibi olan Albay Veysel ÖZGÜR, 15 Ekim 1931’de vefat etmiştir.

Colonel Veysel ÖZGÜR was born in Trabzon in 1877. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1895 with the rank of lieutenant. He was promoted to first lieutenant on September 26, 1899, to captain on March 4, 1905, to lieutenant commander on March 14, 1911, and to major on April 26, 1912. He served in various echelons in the army until 1912. As of April 26, 1912, he was assigned to battalion commands in various redif (military reserve) units. He participated in the Balkan War on this duty. On December 1, 1913, he became the commander of the 2nd Battalion of the 15th Regiment of the 2nd Corps. While he was on this duty, the First World War was entered. He was appointed as the Commander of the 15th Regiment on June 5, 1915. He was promoted to lieutenant colonel on September 14, 1916. He was appointed as the 161st Regiment commander on May 24, 1917, 134th Regiment commander on September 5, 1917, 48th Division and Homs Position commander on June 17, 1918, 20th Division acting commander on July 29, 1918, a member of the 3rd Court-Martial in İstanbul on October 23, 1919, and later as a member of the Inspection and Classification Commission. He went to Anatolia on October 28, 1920 and participated in the War of Independence. He was appointed as the Commander of the 15th Division on February 1, 1921, during the War of Independence. He was promoted to colonel on March 1, 1921 and became the commander of the Infantry Division under the Kocaeli Group on April 6, 1921, the 7th Division commander on April 30, 1921, the head of the 7th Çorum Regional Recruitment Department on September 17, 1921, and on August 30, 1922, the head of Erzincan Recruitment Department. On March 23, 1924, he was appointed as the president of the 7th Corps Senior Officer Court-Martial. He retired at his own request on March 26, 1924. Colonel Veysel ÖZGÜR, who was the owner of various decorations and medals given by the Ottoman Empire and the German Empire and the Medal of Independence given by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA), passed away on October 15, 1931.
