As part of the Focused Operation (FOCOPS26-1) conducted under NATO's Operation Sea Guardian, in which the TCG Gaziantep frigate and TCG Çanakkale submarine will participate between 21 January and 9 February 2026, a Pre-Deployment Briefing was conducted on 21 January 2026.

The briefing was attended by the Commodore of the 1st Destroyer Flotilla and his staff, TCG Gaziantep personnel, Georgian Coast Guard personnel, and a NATO MARCOM delegation.
