As part of the port visit of TCG Kınalıada to Benghazi Port, military delegations of Türkiye and Libya held a meeting on August 20, 2025.

Turkish Ministry of National Defence delegation led by Major General İlkay Altındağ paid a visit to General Saddam Haftar, Libyan National Army Deputy Commander.

During the visit meetings were held to discuss joint efforts under the goal of "One Libya, One Army." Güven Begeç, Turkish ambassador to Libya, and Serkan Kıramanlıoğlu, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Benghazi also participated in the meeting.

Also, General Saddam Haftar paid a return visit to TCG Kınalıada in Benghazi.
