AIRCRAFT UNIT REPAIR
Tarih : 07.05.2020Maintenance, repair, renovation, modification and functional test activities for avionic units, aircraft/engine systems, accessory units and ground support equipment of various type aircrafts in TAF inventory are performed.
Technologies such as Nondestructive Inspection (X-ray, FPI, MPI, ECII), Cleaning (Mechanical, Chemical, Fluoride ion), Coating (Borazon, Codep Codal, Electrolytic), Metal spraying (Flame, Plasma), Honeycomb Repair, Ball Bearing Contro and Repair, Paint Removal with plastic particle, surface smoothness /profile control, Computer Controlled Measurement Devices are used and analysis are made in the laboratories with controlled environment.
All repairs are performed in compliance with the technical documents and standards published by the manufacturers.
As calibration of all equipments which are used for repair activities is followed carefully, repairs of units are performed in compliance with aviation standards.

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR ACTIVITIES FOR AIRCRAFT AVIONIC SYSTEMS
In flight instruments workshops of 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate which have a controlled environment with an area of 700m2 and a class of 300.000 maintenance and repair activities for;
- A/P (Autopilot Computers&Access) of C-130 and C-160 aircraft,
- F/D (Flight Director Roll&Pitch Computers) of KC-135R aircraft,
- HSI (Horizontal Situation Indicator) and ADI (Attitude Direction Indicator) of C-130, C-160, F-16 and F-4 aircrafts,
- IAS (Indicated Airspeed), TAS (True Air Speed), RPM (Revolutions Per Minute), FTIT (Fan Turbine Inlet Temperature), ACC (Accelerometer), AOA (Angle Of Attack), RMI (Radio Magnetic Indicator), ALT (Altimeter), PRESS (Indicators, Transmitters,) CLK (Clock), FQTY(Fuel Quantity Indicators &Control Amplifiers) of CN-235, C-130, C-160, KC-135R aircrafts,
- Servo Encoding Altimeter, CACP (Cabin Area Control Panel) of CN-235 aircraft,
- SALT (Servoed Altitude Indicator) of F-16, F-4 and KC-135R aircrafts,
- ENCALT (Encoding Altitude Indicator) of CN-235, C-130 and C-160 aircrafts are performed.
In the gyro workshop having a clean environment with an area of 200 m2 and a class of 100.000 repair activities for;
- Directional gyro of CN-235, C-130, C-160, KC-135R, F-4, F-5, SF-260D aircrafts
- Verticle gyro of CN-235, C-130, C-160, KC-135R, F-4, F-5, SF-260D
- Rate gyro activities of F-4 and F-5 aircrafts are performed.
Within the scope of gyro balance capabilities, balancing activities for gyros are performed.
Avionic units’ repairs are performed in 5th Main Maintenance Factory Directorate. Furthermore the factory has reached a level where it can meet repair requirements of various equipments.

AIRCRAFT RADOME REPAIR
Electromagnetic permeability tests for aircraft nose radomes are performed in 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate.
The system in which microwave technology is used is controlled and commanded by a computer and the angle of refraction which the tested radome causes at the radar waves can be measured.
The system is composed of a main building including receiver units, radome connection hardware, control console and a system computer and transmitter tower including a control console and an x band transmitter.
Radome repair and test activities for KC-135R, CN-235, F-4E 2020, F-16C/D, C-130B/E, C-160 aircrafts and commercial aircrafts.
PROPELLER MAINTENANCE & REPAIR
Material texture structure and fatigue activities for C-130, C-160, CN-235, KT-1T, SF-260D, T-41D aircrafts; MWM (Meandering Winding Magnetometry) activities for C-130 aircrafts’ propeller blades and Sleeve and Spindle overhaul activities for Couger Helicopters are performed in two seperate workshops of 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate each of which has 420 m2 closed area.
For Hartzell and Mc Caulley type aircrafts’ propellers
