Depot Level Maintenance and Repair activities for various type helicopters are performed in 5th Main Maintenance Factory Directorate affiliated to General Directorate of Military Factories. Technical bulletins and work cards which are published by manufacturers within the scope of DLM activities are used. All the DLM activities are performed in compliance with national and international aviation standards. All maintenance/repair operations required to be applied within the scope of DLM by complying with planned maintenance documents of helicopters are approved and work plans are used after their soft copies are prepared. Maintenance, repair and renovation activities for utility, attack, training and reconnaissance helicopters in the following list are performed.

5th Main Maintenance Factory Directorate has quality certificates namely AQAP 2110 NATO Quality Assurance Requirements for Design, Development and Production Certificate; AQAP 2310 NATO Quality Assurance Requirements for Aerospace Defence Contractors Certificate; SHY-145 Maintenance Organisation Approval Certificate and TS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Certificate. Furthermore in 2004 5th Main Maintenance Factory Directorate signed a contract with Sikorsky Company to be a regional authorized maintenance center for conducting S-70 Blackhawk helicopters maintenance activities commercially.
