The Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler welcomed the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer, with a military ceremony at Mürted Air Base Command during his official visit to Ankara upon the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer was accompanied by UK Secretary of State for Defence John Healey and Chief of the Air Staff of the Royal Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Sir Harv Smyth, while Minister Yaşar Güler was accompanied by Turkish Air Force Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu.
