MCM Black Sea Task Group Visits Constanta During 8th Activation
Tarih: 20.01.2026As part of the 8th activation, the Mine Countermeasures Black Sea (MCM Black Sea) Task Group, established by Türkiye, Bulgaria, and Romania to ensure maritime security against the threat posed by drifting mines in the Black Sea, conducted a port visit to Constanta, Romania between January 16-19, 2026.
During the visit, training activities were conducted by the assets of the Mine Countermeasures Black Sea Task Group.
On 17 January 2026, Turkish Consul General in Constanta Asiye Derya Dingiltepe, together with the Defence and Naval Attaché of Türkiye to Bucharest, paid an official call on TCG Ütğm. Arif Ekmekçi.
Commanding officers of the Mine Countermeasures Black Sea Task Group paid an official visit to the Romanian Navy Commander, Rear Admiral (UH) Cornel-Eugen Cojocaru.
Following the official visits, the Slobozia Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery was visited.
