Exercise Breeze-2024 hosted by Bulgaria was conducted in Western Black Sea on July 4-14, 2024. Within Black Sea Mine Countermeasures Task Group, Turkish Naval Forces replenishment ship TCG YÜZBAŞI GÜNGÖR DURMUŞ and minehunter TCG AKÇAY participated in the exercise.

During the sea phase of the exercise, mine warfare, warfare against asymmetric threats, anti-air warfare, drifting mines surveillance/reconnaissance, damage control training, sailing and shipping trainings and surface shootings were conducted.

After the exercise, President of Bulgaria was saluted in the official parade performed by components.

At the end of the exercise, an assessment meeting of Exercise Breeze-2024 was held with the participation of Chief of Bulgarian Navy Rear Admiral Upper Half Kiril Yordanov, Bulgarian Navy Flotilla Commander Rear Admiral Lower Half Velko Velkov and MCM BLACK Sea task unit commander Captain Yusuf Karagülle.
